About Us!
Although a common misconception, Schottsie's Scuba is not a dive shop, and we do not sell diving equipment. We organize and offer scuba diving training and travel opportunities based in central Florida.

Taylor Schott (who you'll read about below) is an independent dive instructor who is passionate about training highly skilled & knowledgeable divers. She teaches scuba classes of varying levels -- from entry-level to advanced, first response and professional training -- without a brick and mortar location.

SDI/TDI #28830
NAUI #62423
Taylor is an SDI/TDI and NAUI instructor from Ocala, Florida. She grew up snorkeling, freediving, fishing, camping and hunting, taking any opportunity available to explore outside. She has been working in the dive industry since high school, and began instructing in early 2021. She has logged over 800 dives since getting open water certified in 2018. She has worked with BBC and National Geographic film crews during filming projects, and also volunteers often to lend a hand for local underwater clean ups. Taylor continues to challenge herself daily, whether it is in the pool teaching students, leading guided dives, or taking classes herself. She is an avid cave diver, and spends several days a week underground in north Florida. She’s also a firm believer in continuing education, and is currently enrolled in technical diving classes, such as Trimix and advanced decompression procedures. Taylor has also worked for several years in different dive shops, including Ocala Dive and Extreme Exposure, where she learned to be an expert in equipment fitting, servicing scuba cylinders, and running the fill station. She is enthusiastic about the sport of scuba diving, and loves to teach others about the wonders of the underwater world.
